Northwest Human Remains Detection

Mission Statement: Northwest Human Remains Detection (NWHRD) is assisting local and federal agencies in locating missing persons and in the detection of human remains.

NWHRD is located in King County, WA. Our team specializes in locating human remains, including bones, tissue, blood and full cadavers. We have teams operational in Land/Wilderness, Building, Disaster, Boat and Shoreline searches. Our teams are trained in Crime Scene Preservation, Boat and Helicopter Operations, SAR Techniques and Strategies and Disaster Incident Response among others.

Our K9s love their job and when not working or training spend their life as house dogs with their respective handlers and owners.

REQUESTING NWHRD FOR SEARCHES

Northwest Human Remains Detection Dogs perform searches only under the call-out and direction of emergency or law enforcement service agencies. Please contact the King County Sheriff’s Office to request our services.
